Crypto-Mining Ethereum Hashrate (MH/s) - Ethash Hashrate

Ethash is the Proof-of-Work (PoW) algorithm used for the crypto currency Ethereum. Ethash is based on the Dagger-Hashimoto algorithm, but has been significantly changed in some places. For example, the memory requirement (GPU memory) was significantly increased in order to make it more difficult or even to prevent the calculation of the algorithm on so-called ASICs (Application Specific Integrated Circuits). Our benchmark results are based on a slight overclocking of the graphics card and the GPU memory. The hashrates were achieved under Hive OSwith moderate overclocking settings.




Crypto-Mining Ergo Hashrate (MH/s) - Autolykos 2 Hashrate

The crypto currency Ergo is based on the Autolykos algorithm, which was updated in version 2 (Autolykos 2) in early 2021. The Autolykos 2 algorithm is based on the PoW concept and can be efficiently calculated by a graphics card. When calculating Ergo Coins, ASICs have no efficiency advantage over modern graphics cards, which should make Ergo attractive for as many miners as possible. The Ergo protocol is based on the blockchain and has been optimized for a very long shelf life. The hashrates were achieved under Hive OSwith moderate overclocking settings.




Crypto-Mining Ravencoin Hashrate (MH/s) - KawPow Hashrate

The KawPoW algorithm has been used with the crypto currency Ravencoin since May 2020. Previously, Ravencoin used ProgPoW (X16R and X16Rv2). KawPoW is a Proof-of-Work (PoW) algorithm and is calculated the fastest with a modern graphics card. KawPoW is based on a changing algorithm (X15 and SHA51) and can therefore not be calculated via ASIC. The developers want to protect Ravencoin from large mining farms that often use ASICs. In addition to Ravencoin, other cryptocurrencies are based on KawPoW, including Hilux and Gravium. The hashrates were achieved under Hive OSwith moderate overclocking settings.




Crypto-Mining Vertcoin Hashrate (MH/s) - Verthash Hashrate

The crypto currency VertCoin (VTC) is calculated with the new Verthash algorithm since January 2021. This is a very memory-intensive PoW algorithm that is difficult to calculate with an ASIC. The developers have set themselves the goal that VertCoin should be calculated via a graphics card and not with so-called ASICs. These are increasingly used in large mining farms. Verthash currently requires a graphics card with at least 2 GB of memory. The hashrates were achieved under Hive OSwith moderate overclocking settings.

It a a good card. Has rgb lighting, dedicated software, fan control and as a bonus comes with a free support bracket. Has a hard shell over the PCB, so looks and feels like a premium card, which of course, it is. I've been watching PNY over the past 5 or 6 years, and have noticed them creeping up on some of the big players in the industry, such as evga, msi, gigabyte, in performance, reviews and quality. I actually chose this card over the slightly cheaper Asus one, and I'm so glad I did looking at the reviews. I remember many years ago seeing MSI coming up the ranks in the same way as PNY are now, and judging by the last few premium bits of hardware I've bought of there's, I can see why. I am very happy with the card, all round. I do have some niggles however these are minor points and specific to me and what I'm used to. The cooling of this card is better than the Asus one I played with, too, so on the cooling is noteworthy too.
The RGB lighting is it's own thing, and from what I can see, isn't compatible with things like iCue or mystic. This isn't a huge issue, as I've managed to set the lighting to match my iCue pretty well, however some form of support for any of the more popular lighting solutions, or even the RGB headers on the motherboard, would finished this card off nicely, and would be perfect. Card works fine without this though.

General info

The thermal design power (TDP) is the maximum amount of power the cooling system needs to dissipate. A lower TDP typically means that it consumes less power.

A higher transistor count generally indicates a newer, more powerful processor.

Small semiconductors provide better performance and reduced power consumption. Chipsets with a higher number of transistors, semiconductor components of electronic devices, offer more computational power. A small form factor allows more transistors to fit on a chip, therefore increasing its performance.

Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe) is a high-speed interface standard for connecting components, such as graphics cards and SSDs, to a motherboard. Newer versions can support more bandwidth and deliver better performance.

The graphics card contains two graphics processing units (GPUs). This generally results in better performance than a similar, single-GPU graphics card.

When covered under the manufacturer’s warranty it is possible to get a replacement in the case of a malfunction.

The graphics card uses a combination of water and air to reduce the temperature of the card. This allows it to be overclocked more, increasing performance.

The width represents the horizontal dimension of the product. We consider a smaller width better because it assures easy maneuverability.

The ROPs are responsible for some of the final steps of the rendering process, writing the final pixel data to memory and carrying out other tasks such as anti-aliasing to improve the look of graphics.

Memory

The effective memory clock speed is calculated from the size and data rate of the memory. Higher clock speeds can give increased performance in games and other apps.

Random-access memory (RAM) is a form of volatile memory used to store working data and machine code currently in use. It is a quick-access, temporary virtual storage that can be read and changed in any order, thus enabling fast data processing.

A wider bus width means that it can carry more data per cycle. It is an important factor of memory performance, and therefore the general performance of the graphics card.

Newer versions of GDDR memory offer improvements such as higher transfer rates that give increased performance.

Error-correcting code memory can detect and correct data corruption. It is used when is it essential to avoid corruption, such as scientific computing or when running a server.

Ports

Devices with a HDMI or mini HDMI port can transfer high definition video and audio to a display.

Newer versions of HDMI support higher bandwidth, which allows for higher resolutions and frame rates.

More HDMI ports mean that you can simultaneously connect numerous devices, such as video game consoles and set-top boxes.
