New WandaVision Posters Feature Darcy Lewis and Jimmy Woo

This has been a huge week for fans of Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings) and Jimmy Woo (Randall Park). Both characters made their WandaVision debut on Friday, marking Denning's first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since Thor: The Dark World (2013) and Park's first appearance since debuting the character in Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018). Both characters received their own Twitter emojis, a fact that greatly excited Dennings. Now, they're getting an even cooler treatment from Marvel: their very own posters!

"Darcy Lewis and Jimmy Woo return 📺 The first four episodes of Marvel Studios' #WandaVision are now streaming on #DisneyPlus," Marvel Entertainment tweeted. You can check out the posters in the tweet below:

A while back, Park spoke with BUILD Series and explained how he got involved with WandaVision.

"I had a meeting over at Marvel, just a kind of general thing to talk about where I was at and where they're at I was like, 'Yeah, I would love to bring Jimmy Woo back if there was ever the opportunity.' And then like a week later they were like, 'Hey, come back, we want to talk to you about this show.' And I was like, 'Great,'" Park shared.

Recently, Dennings was speaking to the Keep It podcast about WandaVision and revealed that the role of Darcy was originally supposed to be a couple of scenes, but her friendship with Natalie Portman (Jane Foster) inspired a bigger part.

"Because Natalie and I are already friends, I remember this exactly," Dennings shared. "I walk in the room and I'm very shy. I came in and I sat down and Natalie hadn't gotten there yet and everyone was so nice. Natalie came in and sat on my lap because we're friends. I think our friendship started to infect them [like] its purity and love. Slowly, Darcy became more involved, and I was like, 'Why are they adding me to scenes?'" She added, "If I am being honest, friendship magic is the reason I'm here today."

Are you excited Darcy Lewis and Jimmy Woo are getting some love from Marvel Studios? Tell us in the comments!

WandaVision: Marvel Releases Jimmy Woo & Darcy Lewis Posters

WandaVision 's marketing efforts have been in full swing for weeks, with multiple trailers/TV spots and posters making their way online both before and during the run of the MCU's debut Disney+ show.

So far, much of the attention has been on Wanda Maximoff, Vision, nosy neighbor Agnes, and S.W.O.R.D. Captain Monica Rambeau . However, the latest episode of WandaVision, "We Interrupt This Program," has shifted this focus.

Now, audiences are getting a taste of the real world beyond Wanda's fabricated reality inside Westview. And, with it, the inhabitants that are desperately trying to figure out what exactly's going on, much like WandaVision viewers.

"We Interrupt This Program" brought back two familiar MCU faces to serve as these real-world inhabitants: Astrophysics Doctor Darcy Lewis and FBI Agent Jimmy Woo. Lewis was last seen in 2013's Thor: The Dark World and Woo in 2018's Ant-Man and The Wasp . Now, the two find themselves working together to save a town that's seemingly under Wanda's control.

As such, Marvel Studios has released two new posters to celebrate the return of these two characters to the MCU frontier...

In a new tweet , Marvel Studios unveiled two new posters for WandaVision highlighting the return of two MCU characters: Darcy Lewis from the Thor franchise and Agent Jimmy Woo from the Ant-Man franchise.

Darcy Lewis WandaVision

Dr. Darcy Lewis is back after appearances in Thor and Thor: The Dark World .

Jimmy Woo WandaVision

FBI Agent Jimmy Woo makes his second MCU showing following 2018's Ant-Man and the Wasp .

Darcy Lewis actress Kat Dennings coyly responded to the reveal with a simple eye emoji on Twitter:

If there's one thing WandaVision 's proven thus far, it's that nothing is as it seems; these two new posters continue to prove that point regarding the projected storylines of Darcy and Jimmy.

In Darcy's poster, the most shocking revelation is that of what appears to be some new, satanic-looking attire for Dr. Lewis. Her chest bares red, mirrored S's, with protruding points that look almost like horns or blood.

Thus far, there's been speculation of Marvel Comics villain Mephisto making his MCU debut in WandaVision , and this new outfit for Darcy could prove such a point. Mephisto himself is Devil incarnate regarding Marvel Comics, and already in WandaVision, we've seen mentions of strange hexagonal shapes and the number '666.'

If Mephisto is truly to arise in this series, it may be likely that Darcy will become his pawn of the sorts, whether she does push past the static Westview barrier. If the FBI and S.W.O.R.D. continue to pry into whatever is going on past that barrier — and that's a given — then Mephisto may have to take drastic measures.

It's also worth noting that the rightmost TV box in Darcy's poster, well, doesn't have anything; it's just static and some sort of unidentifiable image. This could signify her (perhaps unwilling) turn to Hell.

As for Jimmy Woo's poster, a bit more insight is provided on the future of his, S.W.O.R.D., and Monica's presence in WandaVision .

In the topmost image of Jimmy's poster, we see him, Monica, and either an FBI or S.W.O.R.D. agent on the move. If anything, this shows that Woo and Monica are going to be as diligent as ever in figuring out the Westview mystery.

However, the bottom image of Jimmy's poster may give a bit more information. It appears as though Jimmy and Monica are conversing in some sort of suburban background; this could likely be Westview itself. Either way, it's definitely a change of scenery from the S.W.O.R.D. base setup outside the Westview barrier.

Maybe at some point, Jimmy and Monica manage to get past the barrier. It's long been rumored that Monica will adopt her comic book hero persona, Spectrum , and the dash of white we see on her uniform in this shot is a good indication of that (and that she might be the one to finally get past the barrier).

The bottom line is that Dr. Darcy Lewis and Agent Jimmy Woo certainly don't have minor roles in WandaVision . With five episodes still left on the show's slate, there's no telling how big they will become.

WandaVision: New Posters May Tease Darcy's Trip Into Westview

Re-introduced to the MCU in the most recent episode, a new WandaVision poster hints that Darcy Lewis may be entering Westview in a future episode.

WARNING: The following contains spoilers for WandaVisionEpisode 4, "We Interrupt This Program," now streaming on Disney+.

Disney+ released new posters for WandaVision, featuring returning Marvel Cinematic Universe characters Agent Jimmy Woo (Randall Park) and Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings).

Posted on Twitter, the poster featuring Darcy Lewis shows her wearing a vintage style sweater, possibly hinting that Darcy will enter Westview where Wanda and Vision currently reside. Introduced in the most recent episode, "We Interrupt This Program," Darcy has been working with the organization S.W.O.R.D. to solve the mystery behind the mysterious town-turned-sitcom. The vintage sweater indicates that Darcy will not just be observing from the outside, but will enter Westview in a future episode.

WandaVision's newest episode saw the return of three MCU characters, including S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Jimmy Woo, Dr. Darcy Lewis (featured in the poster above) and Monica Rambeau, who briefly appeared in Episode 2. The three are affiliated with the organization S.W.O.R.D., working together to solve the mystery of Westview. Darcy was last seen in 2013's Thor: The Dark World, and it was revealed in Episode 4 of WandaVision that she did not disappear during the Blip, but instead spent that time studying astrophysics and eventually getting her doctorate.

WandaVision Episode 4, "We Interrupt This Program," was a major shift in perspective from the previous sitcom-inspired episodes taking place from the point of view of Wanda and Vision. Darcy figures out not only how to view the sitcom reality Wanda has created, but how to contact Wanda using an old radio. This confirmed theories that it was, in fact, Jimmy Woo speaking to Wanda in earlier episodes.

Written by Jac Schaeffer and directed by Matt Shakman, WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as Vision, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and Kathryn Hahn as Agnes. New episodes air Fridays on Disney+.

Darcy wandavision poster

When Marvel Studios revealed that Kat Dennings’ Thor character Darcy Lewis would return in WandaVision, fans were both excited and skeptical.

Kat Dennings herself is a very talented and skilled actress, but Darcy Lewis was seen by some as a nuisance or a somewhat unlikeable supporting character. But now that has been changed, and Darcy is one of the most beloved characters around due to her role in WandaVision.

As one of the main characters, she has become more developed. In the first Thor film, she was primarily an assistant to Natalie Portman’s Dr. Jane Foster. Then in Thor: The Dark World, she became an assistant to Dr. Erik Selvig. But in WandaVision, she has become a full-fledged and accomplished scientist and a doctor.

Marvel has recently released a new poster featuring Darcy through their Twitter, and let’s say its very beautiful.

In the new poster, we see Darcy Lewis posing next to a TV featuring the show’s stars, Wanda Maximoff and Vision. In the recent episode, Wanda used her powers to expand the Hex and take control of the areas surrounding Westview, which sucked the agents working for S.W.O.R.D and Darcy herself into the town.

This means Darcy is inside the reality Wanda created for herself and, by the looks of the poster, will become part of the next sitcom episode focused in the 2000s. We can guess that 2000s-themed sitcom episode will either be Modern Family or another popular show during that decade.

In the recent episode, Vision was able to see Darcy when he escaped the Hex for a few moments before Wanda expanded it, so it won’t be surprise if Darcy and Vision team up to solve the Westview mystery together.

WandaVision so far has been one of Marvel’s most unique and strangest project to date. It’s also the first television series focused on two Avengers, and is part of the main timeline in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. So far, reception from both critics and fans have been very favorable.

Hopefully after WandaVision, we can see more of Kat Dennings’ Darcy Lewis in future Marvel Studios shows or films. Which one would you like to see her in? Let us know in the comments below.

WandaVision Key Art Poster: Dr. Darcy Lewis- A Signal with Vision

Posted on by Ray Flook

Okay, we're not exactly into the "open spoilers" zone yet but we can be a bit more flexible about what we say about Disney+ and Marvel Studios' Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen-starring WandaVision. Set in the sitcom world of the late 1990s/early 2000s, we learn a bit more about Tommy (Jett Klyne) and Billy (Julian Hilliard)- as well as that "surprise visitor" at the end of the previous episode. Agnes (Kathryn Hahn) hits Vision (Bettany) with a harsh truth, while Agent Jimmy Woo (Randall Park), Dr. Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings), and Capt. Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) go rogue- and Wanda (Olssen) gives out a whole bunch of "tricks"  but not a whole lot of "treats" (and let's just say that someone has boundary issues). So to celebrate, the streaming service has released a new key art poster with a focus on Dennings' Lewis and a look at the TV that has "a signal with vision"- and one that seems to have gone a little too far with the photoshopping (and why is anyone photoshopping Dennings anyway?):

As you're doing your deep-dive into the reality-altering world of WandaVision, you also have a chance to catch up on our leads' MCU backstories. Marvel Studios: Legends showcases the characters that you've come to know over the years and revisit some of their key moments, the focus of the first installments are Wanda and Vision:

"Wanda Maximoff': Wanda Maximoff made her debut in Avengers: Age of Ultron as a powerful adversary of The Avengers, only to become an even more powerful ally. Wanda found strength in herself and in her extraordinary relationship with one highly unique individual, Vision. Marvel Studios: Legends explores Wanda's story as she grapples with cruel hardships and loss, a chaotic power that she strives to control, and shifting loyalties from those she trusts most.

"Vision": Born into the world in Avengers: Age of Ultron Vision chooses to fight on the side of humanity, though he himself is an artificial form of life. Marvel Studios: Legends follows Vision on his quest to understand humans more fully, evolving to be more like them, as he explores a romantic relationship with Wanda Maximoff in Captain America: Civil War. All of this leads to his final moments, as he makes the ultimate sacrifice for mankind, leaving those he loved to an uncertain future.

WandaVision marks the first series from Marvel Studios streaming exclusively on Disney+. The series is a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision—two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.

Disney+'s WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as Vision, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Randall Park as Jimmy Woo, Kathryn Hahn as Agnes, Fred Melamed as Arthur Heart, and Debra Jo Rupp as Mrs. Heart. Created by Jac Schaeffer with an opening episode written by Schaeffer and directed by Matt Shakman, the streaming service series is executive produced by Schaeffer and Kevin Feige with Marvel Studios producing.

WandaVision’s Darcy Lewis Poster References Vision

A new WandaVision poster for Darcy Lewis teases her connection to Vision after her emotional reaction to his pain in the last episode.

Darcy Lewis' new WandaVisionposter teases a connection to Vision. Kat Dennings returned to the MCU as Darcy Lewis after starring in the first two Thor films. Dennings made her WandaVision debut in episode four, "We Interrupt This Program..." Armed with a Ph.D. and quippy dialogue, Darcy is the one who figured out that Wanda was accidentally broadcasting her new life as a sitcom wife in Westview.

In just a few short episodes, though, things have changed quite a bit for Darcy. Initially, at the center of S.W.O.R.D.'s investigation into the goings-on in Westview, Darcy was kicked out of the encampment with Monica Rambeau and Jimmy Woo. The trio tried to find a way into Westview because they believe Wanda isn't entirely responsible for the Hex. When Darcy stays behind while Jimmy and Monica meet with a mysterious character who can help them enter the Hex, she witnesses Vision attempting to escape Westview before being sucked into the suburb.

Related: WandaVision’s Episode 6 Sitcom Reference Explained

Marvel's new WandaVision poster highlights Darcy's role as a tech visionary, but it also hints at the character's larger role. In the poster, Darcy wears regular clothes (although the show-within-a-show's timeline has caught up to the modern-day) and stands behind a late 90s/early 2000s era box television showing Wanda and Vision onscreen. Next to Darcy is the phrase, "A signal with Vision," a nod to one of the show's titular characters. Check out the full poster below:

While, on the surface, the poster seems simple enough, it alludes to a lot more than it initially appears to. For one, Darcy's outfit could be an indicator of her presence in Westview as it is a departure from the parkas and gear she wore while in the S.W.O.R.D. encampment. The tagline also shouldn't go unnoticed. By now, it's safe to say that is no such thing as coincidence in the MCU, so Darcy's connection to Vision is laid bare in the poster for anyone looking carefully enough, especially after her visceral reaction to Vision being torn apart outside Westview.

Luckily, both Vision and Darcy are somewhat safe in the confines of the Hex, but, as we learned with Monica, a new resident in Westview never goes unnoticed. Darcy will likely face the same scrutiny Captain Rambeau did as Geraldine. Vision could use his ability to pull Darcy out of her stupor, leaving nothing in her way of telling Vision what she thinks is truly going on. WandaVision is gearing up for an explosive ending, that much is clear, and Darcy may have a lot more to do with it than initially thought if this poster and the end of episode six is any indication.
