Zero Germ Cellphone UV Sanitizer

What is Zero Germ?

Zero Germ is an ultraviolet cell phone sanitizer and charger. The promoters of Zero Germ Cell Phone Sanitizerclaim that your cell phone carries 20X more bacteria than a toilet. We often cough, sneeze, touch and commute with the cell phone making it a breeding ground for all kinds of bacteria. And we hold the same phone near our face increasing the chances of ingesting those bacteria. We wash our hands to clean up germs but what about the sanitization our cell phones. You need Zero Germ Ultra Violet Sanitizerwith built-in charger.

How does Zero Germ Ultra Violet Sanitizer work?

The human-safe Ultra-Violet light of the “Zero Germ” sanitizesall the surface, nooks and crevices of your cell-phone. The LED lights on the Zero Germ UV-Sanitizer displays the progress of sanitization and also notifies you that your Cell-Phone has been UV-irradiated and is now 99.99% bacteria-free.

How does UV-Light Kill Germs?– The UV light from the “Zero Germ” sanitizer breaks molecular bonds in the germ’s DNA resulting in its death or disablement. It destroys the nucleic acids and disrupts the DNA which has an fatal effect on the vital life functions of the microbes. More on “Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation” here.

Charge and Sanitize at the same time– We don’t use our cell-phone when its being charged, that’s the right time when you should also get it “sanitized”. And the best part is Zero-Germ can also charge your phone when its being sanitized.

UV-Lightis a proven method of sanitization and hospitals use it to keep their environment sterilized and germ-free. The promoter of the Zero-Germ UV Sanitizer claim that their device uses the same medical-grade UV technologyand does not use any harmful chemicals.

Fits All Cell-Phones– Zero Germ UV Sanitizer is big in size and fits most cellphones and cases.

What type of bacteria does Zero Germ kill?– It kills E-Coli, Flu, Salmonella, Staph, MRSA, Influenza A H1N1, Rhinovirus (common cold) and Bacteria in Fecal Matter and more.

Bacteria killed by Zero Germ Cellphone UV Sanitizer

Zero Germ Sanitizer Test– A black-light test conducted by the manufacturer of the Zero Germ UV-Sanitizer shows areas we touch and spread bacteria on throughout the day. The most interesting part of this study is that the cell-phone ranks at the top and is most touched object. That also increases the probability of it (the cell phone) having the highest percentage of bacteria.

Zero Germ is not just for Cell-Phones– It can be used to sanitize just about any object that fits into it. Zero Germ can sanitize keys, glasses, cases, pens, TV-remote, toothbrushes, makeup accessories, mp3 players, Bluetooth earphones, jewelry and more.

Zero Germ UV Sanitizer REVIEW

The Name – Zero Germ

The UV Sanitizer is named as “ZERO GERM” to reflect upon the “GERM KILLING” capability. But the name Zero Germ is somewhat misleading, while the Ultra Violet light does kill bacteria and viruses it is not much effective against algae and fungus but noting to worry because algae and fungus don’t pose as much threat as virus and bacteria. The name “Zero Germ”is also associated with a popular toothbrush UV sanitizer. Since the name “Zero Germ” has not been trademarked, it is free to be used in any context.

99.9% Germ Free– There are no independent test results that confirm Zero Germ UV sanitizer’s claim that it kills 99.9% of the germs. “99.9%” has become a standard word in advertising and all products claim to kill 99.9% germs. There is no way to determine how many bacteria actually are killed by the UV-C light from the Zero Germ. The number 99.9% comes from testsconducted by independent agencies to determine efficiency of UV-C light an sanitizing. So 99.9% is the efficiency of the UV-C Light in killing germs provided all the parameters and conditions are satisfied like duration of exposure, intensity of light etc. All the commercial advertising of UV disinfectants ride on this figure.

Zero Germ has its limitations– The disinfecting UV light from the sanitizer cannot penetrate through the device to kill the germs that have made it to the inside of the phone. Zero Germ kills only those germs that come in contact with the light. So those in the crevices and inside of the phone won’t get destroyed.

20X More Bacteria– The makers of Zero Germ claim that your cell phone has 20X more germs than a toilet seat, this is an over-exaggeration. Studyhas revealed that the cell phone has 10X more germs and not 20X.

“Look at these germs seen on the cell-phone under the black-light.”– In the Zero Germvideo they mislead the viewers by calling the fingerprints on the cellphones highlighted by the black-light as “germs”. These are not germs but oil from the fingers that is easily visible on the surface of the cell phone.

Sanitizes in 5 minutes– This is a marketing technique. PhoneSoap sanitizer claims to sanitize in 6 minutes hence to make Zero Germ sound better than the PhoneSoap, the marketers of Zero Germ claim it sanitizes in 5 minutes, 1 minute lesser than Phone Soap.

Power of the UV-Light– No all frequencies of the UV-light are “sanitizing”. Zero germ does not mention the power of the sanitizing uv-light. But experts in this area claimthat the object should be exposed to the UV light for 30 minutes for it to be truly sterilized. So you cannot trust the claim of Zero Germ that it sanitizes in 5 minutes.

Company Behind Zero Germ– InvenTel Products, LLCis the company behind Zero Germ. InvenTel makes “as seen on tv” products, it has no prior experience of making specialized devices like an UV-C light sanitizer. The earlier products (like kitchen, fitness etc) made by InvenTel have had huge quality issues and related complains. When buying something like a cellphone UV-sanitizer you also need to check who is it manufacturer. Also chances are very high that Zero Germ is made in China. As Seen On TV marketers often put their labels on Chinese goods.

Zero Germ is Cheaply Made– Yo get what you pay for. Zero Germ Reviewsreveal that it is cheaply made and is flimsy and will not last long. Reviews also mention that the LED lights on Zero Germ are not very bright. Most Zero Germs unit don’t last even a three months. Customers have complained that there are no instruction with the Zero Germ purchase.

Zero Germ Cellphone UV Sanitizer Offer

Our Verdict on Zero Germ

Zero Germ is a poor man’s UV-Sterilizer.The Cell-Phone Sanitizer market has been revolutionized by the Shark Tank PhoneSoap UV Sanitizer. But the PhoneSoap is priced around $60 while the Zero-Germ costs just $30 (including shipping). You can buy two “Zero Germ” sanitizers for $40. Zero Germ is a “cheap” alternative to the PhoneSoap and other cell phone sanitizers.

We do not recommend the Zero Germ, in-fact we do not recommend any special Cell-Phone UV Sanitizer. You could get the same results bu running a UV LIGHT over your cell phones and other things. There is no need to have any special UV-Sanitizer like Zero Germ for sanitizing cell phones.

We would suggest Microphobe UV sanitizing handheld UV light instead available at Amazon.com which can be used to sanitize all your belongings that you handle daily.

ZERO GERM Review: Portable Multi-functional UV-C Light Sanitizer Box?

ZERO GERM is a sanitizing device that eliminates the germs off of any cell phone surface within five minutes. The phone is completely enclosed during the sanitizing process, reducing the amount of exposure that anyone has to dangerous microorganisms and the spread of disease.

What is ZERO GERM?

Cellphones are one of the most commonly touched surfaces, containing a substantial number of germs. Even though only one person usually uses it, think of all the times that these phones are used during the day – for phone calls at the supermarket, to send a text while eating, or even to play games in the bathroom. Unfortunately, since most people don’t really wash their hands every single time that they touch their screen, bacteria builds up from every other thing that the user has touched. In fact, on a single cell phone, most users expose themselves to more germs than a public toilet seat.

To make matters worse, if the user touches their phone before doing anything else – whether it be to take a bite of food, hand someone a book, or even put on their clothes – that bacteria can transfer. While it would be easy to wash hands and use hand sanitizer, a dirty phone can ruin all of that progress, contaminating hands as soon as they are washed. To help eliminate this threat, ZERO GERM can help.

While there are many UV wands and antibacterial wipes on the market, ZERO GERM can get into every nook and cranny of the surface of the phone. However, to make the process a bit easier, the user puts their entire phone in the device, which charges the phone as it cleans it. With the automatic timer, up to 99.99% of the bacteria is cleaned from the phone, thanks to UV light technology.

UV light technology is necessary for a process called ultraviolet germicidal irradiation. Basically, the UV light gets rid of germs by destroying the parts of their cells that keeps them alive and reproductive. With no ability to reproduce, the germs die, and the threat is eliminated. With such a portable sanitizing device, this item can be taken along in a purse, in a travel bag, or a pocket to clean a phone on the go. Plus, as an added bonus, the sanitizer offers a built-in aromatherapy diffuser.

Where to Buy ZERO GERM

For a limited time, consumers will be able to get ZERO GERM for $29.99 from the official website, which offers the device in either black or white. However, if the user decides that they want to order more than one, they’ll get free shipping on their order.

The blue indicator light on the outside of the ZERO GERM will turn off when the phone is clean.

A: Though the shape is designed to fit cell phones, the size is big enough to fit toothbrushes, keys, glasses, makeup brushes, and other small items that are also hotbeds for bacteria.

Q: Will this product fit any cell phone?

A: While the design is meant to fit any cell phone, consumers are covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee if they need to get a refund.

Q: What if consumers want to learn more information?

A: The customer service team is the best source of answers, and it is reachable by phone 888-596-2538 or by email [email protected] They can be reached between 8:30am and 5:30pm EST on weekdays.

ZERO GERM Summary

ZERO GERM provides an easy way to get rid of all the bacteria and microorganisms that consumers cannot see on their phone and other small items. While this device is not a replacement for the hand-washing recommendations of the CDC, it reduces the number of bacteria that the user comes in contact with, inherently reducing the spread of them. It is easy to use, only takes five minutes, and consumers can purchase as many as they need for everyone in their home.

Does the Zero Germ UV Light Toothbrush Sanitizer work? The Zero Germ UV Light Toothbrush Sanitizer is trying to make it into your morning and nightly rituals as the place to store your toothbrush and get it nice and clean. By using a UV light it says it kills the invisible nasties that are lurking on your brush ready to infect your mouth and body. But does this really work at killing germs and making you healthier?

Overview
There’s a common opinion held by many that says you should keep your toothbrush at least 6 feet away from the toilet. This isn’t always possible in smaller sized bathrooms, and therefore having a case for your toothbrush may be a possible fix. This goes one step further and has a UV light positioned directly in front of the bristles that is supposed to kill unseen bacteria and give you a clean brushing experience every time.

The Claim
The makers of the Zero Germ UV Light Toothbrush Sanitizer claims that their UV light works as a germicide to keep your toothbrush free from harmful germs and bacteria that could be making you sick. The UV light on the unit is located right next to your brush head so that it can do its job. They say it has an automatic timer so it automatically shuts off when it’s done. This helps preserve battery life and makes it a set and forget item.

The Hype
The television promo really tries to exaggerate the problem of an unclean toothbrush. First it starts off by saying that your toothbrush can infect other toothbrushes with germs. Then it brings up the possibility of toilet germs filling the air with each flush. They bring up the possibility that you might get sick by using your toothbrush. They say it kills off the H1N1 virus and swine flu, which seems like they are preying on people’s fears or at least trying to tap into the paranoia and capitalize on it.

The Cost
You can pick up a Zero Germ UV Light Toothbrush Sanitizer for $20 or less at various online retailers, and some buyers have said they’ve found it for less at discount stores. You’ll have to also factor in the cost of batteries since it’s battery powered, and the ongoing cost of replacing the batteries as needed as you go along.

The Commitment
You’d have to make this a part of your daily routine for it to be able to do its job. After using it for several days it would be something that you wouldn’t have to think about any more, and would just be incorporated into your automatic

Evaluation
The Zero Germ UV Light Toothbrush Sanitizer is based on the idea that UV light will kill the bacteria that is left on your toothbrush after brushing, and also shield your toothbrush from picking up bathroom germs from your toilet or sink. It’s supposed to kill the bacteria in 6 minutes, so your brush will definitely be ready by the next time you use it. It would be nice if there were some sort of official tests done on this to prove its effectiveness, but that would be pushing it for a product at this price point.

There’s also the contrary opinion that putting your toothbrush inside a confined enclosure like this would actually be a breeding ground for germs, since often your toothbrush is wet when you put it away and this would trap that moisture in with the brush. One quick fix would be to dry your toothbrush off after use. Some have raised the debate as to whether this is able to enough power to the UV light for it to be able to do its job.

Final Zero Germ UV Light Toothbrush Sanitizer Review

The Zero Germ UV Light Toothbrush Sanitizer gets mixed reviews with several people saying that theirs broke down within a few days, and others saying that it didn’t work from day one. Others say it works fine and hasn’t let them down. For this reason we’re giving it a Try rating, but you basically have to believe in it for it to be a good buy. If you have your doubts or are skeptical that it can do what it says, it’s better to try the free solutions presented below.

Our Recommendation
One way to make sure you don’t put a germy toothbrush in your mouth is to let the toothbrush dry completely between uses. This requires buying two toothbrushes for yourself, one for mornings and one for nights. That way the brush has a full 24 hours to dry, and plenty of the bacteria that would be on partially damp toothbrush will have dried up and died before you put it into your mouth. Another possibility is to use an antibacterial mouthwash like

Zero Germ Review: Does it Really Work?

zero-germ-smartphone-sanitizerWelcome to my Zero Germ review.

I’m sure that besides you germaphobes out there, the majority would not even consider buying something like Zero Germ.

Thanks to the Coronavirus, I think the majority has changed.

Now we are probably all germaphobes and things like Zero Germ all of a sudden became a very interesting device.

With our cellphones being used more than anything we own, there comes a serious need to get them sanitized.

Clorox wipes are definitely not something I recommend not to do as they will probably just ruin things.

Maybe on counters and everything else, but not so much your smartphone.

So how do you disinfect and sanitize such belongings?

You get Zero Germ.

The ultra-violet light smartphone sanitizer.

Does Zero Germ really work?

Is it worth buying or just a waste of money?

There are many simple, yet critical questions that come with the territory and that is what this Zero Germ review is for.

Just like you, I was curious to see what this can really do and that’s what led me to do more research.

So before you go buying Zero Germ, let me show you what you can expect.

Zero Germ Review (Cellphone Sanitizer)

Product Name: Zero Germ

Creators: InvenTel Products

Website: www.tryzerogerm.com

Price: $19.99

Claim: Sanitize cellphones and other small objects

Overall Rating: 1/5 stars

This is one of the many flops that come from TV and one that I wouldn’t recommend. I know we are living in a very cautious time and germs are something we don’t want around, but something like Zero Germ is not going to help. If anything, it might make things worse by having you think that you’re getting rid of germs when you’re really not.

What is Zero Germ?

Zero Germ is an ultraviolet light sanitizer that kills 99.9% of germs on smartphones along with other like-sized objects like keys, remote controls, glasses, toothbrushes, etc. that we are in contact with daily.

With the fact that we are in a pandemic thanks to COVID-19, this is one of the products that you might want to invest in.

But then again, this is an As Seen on TV product, so all that exaggeration might just be that.

Exaggeration.

So before you panic and make a purchase on something that might not be worth buying, let me show you a little more on what you will actually be getting.

Claims of Zero Germ

phone-germs

Now there are several reasons as to why you would even consider a product like Zero Germ.

Like I mentioned earlier, this was something I never even thought about getting until the current situation we are in.

So the main feature of Zero Germ is to sterilize your smartphone and whatever else that can fit in Zero Germ.

We all know our cellphones are as dirty as they can be and we definitely should sanitize them.

Using Clorox wipes or anything of that nature will probably damage your phone, so that’s not recommended.

With Zero Germ, you can sanitize it through medical grade ultra violet light technology.

What’s better than not using water to clean a phone, right?

Well that’s the main function of Zero Germ and probably the only reason you will want to get it in the first place.

To get a little more enticing, they also claim to kill some of the more common and not so cool bacteria.

  • Flu
  • Salmonella
  • Strep
  • E. Coli
  • Fecal matter

I like the fecal matter part because the who doesn’t bring their phone into the bathroom while taking a doo doo?

If anything, that’s probably a better time to use it.

So yeah, Zero Germ can get rid of fecal matter, which is something I’m sure we all don’t want on our phones.

Does Zero Germ Work?

Looking for a Zero Germ review to tell you whether or not it works is kind of crazy actually.

You can’t put your cellphone in Zero Germ and think that it is sterilized.

Thinking is about all people will do and that’s why no one can give real results.

So what do you do?

You get a blacklight that I believe should have come with this product to begin with.

I can just imagine shopping on Amazon for this thing and the whole “customers who bought this item also bought” and how that black light probably shows up.

Besides that, there is no other way that you and I are able to tell if in fact Zero Germ actually works.

So what do I do?

I get the fricken black light.

Yeah right.

I did not get the light, but I looked up other Zero Germ reviews just like you did.

“not worth it”

“used a black light and I still saw germs”

You see guys, when you buy something that is supposed to do one job, then guess what?

It better do the dang job.

Zero Germ does not do its job and it doesn’t even live up to its claims.

It said it takes 5 minutes to sterilize your phone but it says 15 minutes on the box.

Too much talk and hype, not enough pulling through.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Can charge your phone
  • Does have a 30 day money back guarantee

Cons

  • Not many good reviews
  • False claims
  • Does not completely work
  • Not recommended

The Zero Germ Alternative

phone-soap

In a time of panic and uneasiness, I’m sure you all want something that actually works.

You want to sanitize your belongings and most especially your smartphone.

Of course the gizmos and gadgets that come from As Seen On TV land are very sketchy.

They get you curious but have you question everything thanks to two things.

The crazy actors and claims along with the amount of failed products that have come from there.

Thanks to people like myself, we absolutely love to test things from TV.

Regardless of what anyone says, I have to see it for myself.

Zero Germ is one of those products that didn’t meet our expectations, especially with all the Coronavirus panic out there.

However, I did my research and I have found one product that I can actually recommend.

It’s called the PhoneSoap.

Yup, this product will sanitize your phone and it comes with thousands of positive reviews.

If you aren’t pleased with the information on this Zero Germ review, you might want to give the PhoneSoap a try.

Check it Out Here

Final Verdict

thumbs-downZero Germ is nothing more than a box to put your phone in while it charges.

I don’t recommend it for what it’s supposed to do but rather for the fact that it’s a nice charger.

Besides that, I wouldn’t say this is your best bet at sanitizing your phone.

I do not recommend Zero Germ but if you want that cool charger and maybe some kind of sanitizing, then this will work.

I personally don’t like it and I am a huge fan of As Seen on TV products.

I like the Egg Sitter cushion and I even like the other crazy products they offer.

Zero Germ is just not one of them.

The final decision is yours.

I do hope this Zero Germ review has been of some great help to you.
