Best Milano 821 loadout and class setup in Warzone

The Milano 821 was a below-average SMG in Warzone for much of the Cold War era, but buffs in Season 4 made it a powerful, flexible weapon. When built for mid to long-range, the Milano is one of the best sniper supports in the game. It also has the damage to keep up with most other SMGs at close range. Barring a nerf, the Milano is a strong meta SMG in Warzone right now.

If you aren’t sure how to kit out this new contender, don't worry: we’re here to help you piece together the best Milano 821 loadout in Warzone.

On this page:

Best Milano 821 sniper support loadout in Warzone

The sniper support role is where the Milano really shines right now. However, this build also works very well up close. It really comes down to a matter of playstyle and personal preference on what attachments, if any, you swap out for a close-range loadout.

  • Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
  • Barrel: Task Force
  • Stock: Raider Stock
  • Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
  • Ammunition: STANAG 55 Round Drum

An Agency Suppressor will keep you off of enemy radar, and add some bullet velocity and damage range. The Task Force Barrel will extend that range even further, with the added benefit of better strafe speed. Use a Field Agent Grip to minimize recoil and beam down enemies over longer ranges. The improved ADS firing movement speed from the Raider Stock will keep you mobile while shooting. Finally, as with most builds, you want the biggest magazine available, which in this case is the STANAG 55 Round Magazine. You can also use a 55 Round Speed Mag for better reload times, but your ADS speed will suffer.

If you want better overall movement speed, you can trade the Raider Stock for a Tiger Team Spotlight. Alternatively, if you feel like your recoil control is on point, drop the Field Agent Grip for a Tiger Team to achieve maximum mobility. And if the iron sights on the Milano aren’t doing the trick, swap either the Field Agent Grip or Raider Stock for a reflex sight of your choice.

Secondary weapon

These Milano builds will do great backing up a sniper like the Swiss K31 or Kar98k. If you prefer maximum range though, go with a ZRG. Check out our guide to the best Sniper Rifles in Warzone for even more ideas.

Best close-range Milano 821 loadout in Warzone

  • Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
  • Barrel: Task Force
  • Laser: Tiger Team Spotlight
  • Stock: Raider Stock
  • Ammunition: STANAG 55 Round Drum

Our close-range build of choice is identical to the maximum mobility sniper support build; as we said, it is really hard to go wrong with the Milano. The Agency Suppressor and Task Force Barrel give you some bullet velocity and damage range, which helps even up close. Combining the Tiger Team Spotlight and Raider Stock will push your mobility through the roof, which is especially useful in close-quarters fights. Finally, the STANAG 55 Round Magazine is a great choice as always.

If you want to improve hipfire accuracy for close-range, you can replace the Raider Stock with a Bruiser Grip for both the hipfire improvements and more generalized mobility. The 55 Round Speed Mag also becomes a better option if you choose to go that route, as the ADS penalty will be less meaningful.

Secondary weapon

Close-range builds pair nicely with a long-range Assault Rifle like the Krig 6. If you want more options, check out our guide to the best Assault Rifles in Warzone.

Best Milano loadout with Perks and Equipment

Your Milano runs best alongside the ideal Perks and Equipment, so here’s what you should be adding to the loadout:

  • Perk 1: EOD
  • Perk 2: Ghost
  • Perk 3: Amped
  • Lethal: Semtex
  • Tactical: Stun Grenade

Like with Milano builds, it’s hard to go wrong with EOD, which will help you survive explosive attacks. Ghost is the go-to red perk, but Overkill is nice after a death or on your first loadout of the game. Just grab Ghost afterward to stay off of UAVs. For your third and final perk, Amped will help you swap to your Milano faster, which is especially nice on a sniper support loadout. You could also go with Battle Hardened if you find yourself getting hit with Stun Grenades more often than you’d like.

Semtex remains a great general purpose lethal grenade, and will one-shot enemies you stick. Try Thermite or Proximity mines if you’re having trouble with vehicles though. Meanwhile, the trusty Heartbeat Sensor will help you track enemies through walls. You can also use Stun grenades to push enemies, especially if your team already has a Heartbeat Sensor.

That’s all for our Milano 821 loadout guide! Now you're ready to build your loadout and dominate Warzone, at least until the next round of nerfs. If you need more loadout ideas, check out our guide to the best Warzone guns.

Best Milano 821 loadout for Warzone Season 5

The long-awaited Call of Duty Warzone Season 5 patchis here and brings major changes to the game. Beyond the shiny new battle pass, there is also a slew of new additions, including new POIs, a new Gulag, several new modes, and two new powerful, high-calibre weapons.

Although there are no new weapon balance adjustments released yet, it doesn't mean you should settle with the same loadout or class setup as in Season 4 Reloaded. The introduction of new weapons will certainly stir up the meta and that's exactly why we've provided the best Milano 821 gunsmith class setup to use in Warzone Season 5.

The best Milano 821 loadout in Warzone Season 5

The Milano 821 dropped from the S-tier to A-tier on our list of SMGs to use this season following the debut of the monster TEC-9 to Warzone Season 5. Despite this, the Milano is still an A-tier weapon, given its incredible firepower and insane hipfire spread. The only drawback is the slow fire rate but this can be fixed with the right attachments.

This weapon also has a decent recoil and excellent handling and accuracy, even at the medium to long ranges. The Milano 821 is therefore an easy choice for any mixture of playstyles. This loadout, however, is best at close-quarters combat.

  • Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
  • Barrel: 10.6” Task Force
  • Spotlight: Tiger Team Spotlight
  • Stock: Raider Stock
  • Ammunition: STANAG 55 Rnd Drum

The Agency Suppressor is a great "go-to" attachment and will provide concealment from enemies on the minimap. It will also improve the handling of the Milano by bolstering vertical recoil control.

The 10.6" Task Force Barrel will provide an additional 7% damage, 50% effective damage range and 75% bullet velocity improvement. We've also gone with the Tiger Team Spotlight to provide 40% extra reveal distance.

Some of these attachments would have come at the cost of mobility so we've attenuated these deficits with the Raider Stock. This attachment will boost sprint to fire time by 30% and aim walking movement speed by 40%.

Finally, the STANAG 55 Rnd Ammunition will provide additional ammo to ensure that you secure those kills in Verdansk or Rebirth Island.

And there you have it, the best Milano 821 loadout in Warzone Season 5. We have tailored this Milano loadout to be used as a secondary weapon with the Kar98k Sniper Rifle as a primary.

Milano 821 Warzone Loadout: Best Attachments And Setup For Your Class

The Milano 821 arrived into the Warzone arsenal in late 2020 as part of Black Ops Cold War's integration into the popular battle royale. If you've had the privilege of unlocking the 'Red Room' blueprint from the Rebirth Island Easter Egg, you'll understand why the Milano frequently features in many loadouts.

This small, but incredibly mighty weapon is one of the stronger SMGs in the category, boasting very strong accuracy when firing from the hip. With Season 6 of Warzone underway, the Milano continues to prove a popular weapon of choice.

Here's the best Milano 821 Warzone loadout to build to dominate Verdansk and Rebirth Island.

Milano 821 Warzone Loadout

The Milano 821 has one of the lowest rates of fire out of all the SMGs in Warzone. Despite this, its recoil is very easy to control making it very effective when engaging with a target at mid to long-distance.

While the slow fire rate may be a deal-breaker for many players, the Milano has one of the highest damage outputs in the SMG category, so it may be worth changing your mind and dropping into a game with it equipped.

Considering the Milano is a solid weapon without any attachments, which attachments set it apart from the rest of the field?

Milano 821 Warzone Best Attachments

  • 10.5” Ranger (Barrel)
  • Wire Stock (Stock)
  • SASR Jungle Grip (Rear Grip)
  • STANAG 55 Rnd Drum (Ammunition)
  • Foregrip (Underbarrel)

Thanks to the low recoil levels of the Milano, there is no need to add a muzzle, freeing up another attachment slot.

The ranger barrel improves performance at range, further increasing its viability in mid-range gunfights while the choice of stock and rear grip reduce sprint to fire and aim down sight times, enabling you to react quickly to any opposition that stands in your way.

R9-0 Shotgun

  • FORGE TAC Sentry (Barrel)
  • FTAC Close Quarters Pro (Pumps)
  • Rubberized Grip Tape (Rear Grip)
  • Dragon’s Breath Rounds (Ammunition)
  • Ranger Foregrip (Underbarrel)

Due to the slow rate of fire, it is easy to be outgunned by a faster firing weapon in close-quarters battles which is why we have selected the R9-0 shotgun as our secondary weapon.

This particular build is unmatched at close range, dealing two rapid shots to break any armour, and another two to send the opponent straight to the Gulag.

  • Frag Grenade (Lethal)
  • Smoke Grenade (Tactical)

This combination of grenades may be used a lot but that is because it is so effective.

Use the frag to clear out a congested building or attempt a Hail Mary into the distance for a spectacular elimination.

The smoke grenade is just as versatile. Disguise a potential flank by popping it in front of you before heading around the side or simply throw it at the enemy to bamboozle them while you make an escape.

  • Cold-Blooded (Perk 1)
  • Overkill (Perk 2)
  • Tracker (Perk 3)

Cold-Blooded keeps your heat signatures hidden from any thermal optics and Combat Scout while Overkill gives you the ability to run a deadly shotgun as a secondary.

The third Perk we selected is Tracker. Keep your eyes peeled to the ground for any enemy footsteps that could lead you towards another elimination.
