An afternoon on the beach is only as good as the drinks by your side. And whether you're trying to avoid the fuzz or just pop a subtle flex of sartorial refinement, this rubber Gucci bag, which doubles as an ice bucket, will help you keep the cold ones cold—and most importantly, inconspicuous.
We love our classic Coleman as much as the next guy, but lugging it across the sand on a hot sunny day only draws more attention. Modeled after a vintage beach bag, the understated shade of pink and signature embossed logo of Guccio Gucci make it the most luxe place to stash some chilled beverages—even if all you're sipping is LaCroix.

As ridiculous as it might sound, fashion has a new obsession with plastic bags — designer plastic bags, to be exact. You've probably seen the clear Céline shopper that's taken over Instagram, but it's not the only luxury house that's currently producing a logo'd up carryall. In fact, Gucci is selling a close-to-$1, rubber bucket tote from its spring collection with its logo front and center — and the logo-mania is real, because, believe it or not, it's already flying off the virtual shelves.
Sure, the bag may be made in Italy and dreamed up by the brand's creative director Alessandro Michele, but the rubber back, which features a flat bottom and top-handle, resembles what some might use as a laundry basket. And yet, that Gucci logo is all it takes to take this rubber bag from hamper to high-end — at least, if the sales are any indication. The bag is already sold out at Nordstrom and on back-order on Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, and Saks Fifth avenue to ship in late May or early June. Just in time for that beach vacation, right?

Gucci Is Selling a $1, Rubber Beach Bag - and It's Already on Back Order
When high-fashion brands release unconventional designs, the Internet is quick to react. Balenciaga famously designed bright blue bags that looked like Ikeas signature totes, but cost $2, Chanel famously put its mark on a grocery store shopping basket. And now, Gucci is getting some heat online thanks to its $1, rubber tote, which many are comparing to ice buckets and laundry bags.
Gucci designed a rubber beach-like bag for its Spring line featuring a top-handle design embossed with the brands logo on one side. On the runway, it was paired with ready-to-wear pieces, but many are now comparing it to a very fancy ice bucket or drinks cooler.

For fashion lovers, the s have become associated with styles adopted by today’s supermodels and influencers — think Galliano and Cavalli — but maybe ‘80s accessories are among your (guilty?) pleasures. Velvet cocktail dresses and silk evening gowns designed by French-born American couturiere Pauline Trigère — who dressed Wallis Simpson, the Duchess of Windsor — have proven timeless since their mid-century debut, while an overcoat by Alexander McQueen is the perfect finishing touch. In fact, an emerald one stays in rotation for Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge.
Those seeking modern high-fashion brands are also in luck. Turn your day-to-day into a runway with selections from Dolce & Gabbana, Yves Saint Laurent and Versace or complete that fresh look with stunning footwear classics from the likes of Gucci and Christian Louboutin.
